| Position 1: Trainees as Observers, Navigators and Mechanics.
Location: International - Offshore.
We are looking for trainees as Observers, Navigators and Mechanics. Observers are operating and repairing all equipment in connection with the seismic data acquisition, from in-sea equipment and data acquisition to final data storage.
Navigators are working with modern DGPS navigation systems, in-sea positioning of all sensors, on-line steering, all operated through an integrated navigation computer system, as well as post processing of navigation data.
Mechanics work with the seismic source, towing and handling equipment, hydraulics, HP compressors and other mechanical equipment constituting a seismic spread.
Required Background, All:
Good knowledge of English, as this is the working language.
Willing to travel worldwide.
Able to take any required vaccinations and to get visa for any country.
Good health and fitness needed, able to get an offshore medical certificate.
Observers:
BSc or equivalent in electronics or computer science.
Navigators:
BSc or equivalent in hydrography / surveying, or BSc or equivalent in hydrography / surveying,
or
Graduates from nautical institute, mate orBSc or equivalent in hydrography / surveying,
or
Graduates from nautical institute, mate
